BI.ZONE participated in the International Cybersecurity Congress

BI.ZONE took part in the International Cybersecurity Congress, a global industry forum organized by Sberbank and supported by Data Economy Independent Non-commercial Organization and the Association of Banks of Russia. It was held on 5-6 July 2018 in the Congress Centre of the World Trade Centre in Moscow. More than 2000 participants from 51 countries attended the Congress, including representatives of governmental and international organizations, law enforcement agencies, global technology corporations and leaders of the cybersecurity industry.

The Congress is the first global-scale international conference of such level in Russia, devoted to cybersecurity and cybercrime countermeasures. The Congress’ program included lectures by recognized cybersecurity experts and panel discussions on the most pressing cyber-related issues. Two break-out sessions were organized under the auspices of World Economic Forum and INTERPOL.

Dmitry Samartsev, BI.ZONE CEO, took part in the panel discussion “Russian experience in the fight against cybercrime”. Dmitry drew a particular attention to the fact that cybercriminals are now increasingly targeting personal data of corporate executives instead of corporations itself. Also, Mr. Samartsev touched upon the problem of the international collaboration between law enforcement agencies, governmental organizations and private companies across the globe, as it remains the key element for an effective fight against cybercrime.
