BI.ZONE CESP reinforced to improve email protection
BI.ZONE Cloud Email Security and Protection (BI.ZONE CESP) is a cloud service that protects companies against phishing, malicious attachments, and spam.
The update has equipped BI.ZONE CESP with the ability to analyze password‑protected files. Thus, the system will try to guess the password for an attached archive to scan it for malware. Another improvement enables the system to examine attached files and archives for links to phishing sources.
Behavioral analysis capabilities have been extended as well. Previously, when a suspicious message came to the spam folder, only the recipient could influence the sender’s reputation by releasing the message from the quarantine. Gradually, the system memorized the user’s choice and downgraded the sender’s spam rating, an indicator that reflects the extent to which a message can be categorized as spam. With the update in place, the system also takes into account the actions of the client’s CESP administrator.
BI.ZONE CESP recognizes up to 99.9% of spam messages while keeping the rate of false positives to a minimum.
