Presenting an updated BI.ZONE AntiFraud solution
The number of transactions is growing steadily, and so does the amount of money stolen from people’s bank accounts. According to the the National Payment System of the Russian Federation, in the first quarter of 2023 alone, the number of transactions increased more than twice compared to the same period last year. Fraudulent transactions amounted to 4.5 billion rubles, this is almost a 30% increase compared to the average of 2022. Most of the money was stolen using online banking transfers.
BI.ZONE AntiFraud is an adaptive cross‑channel system designed to protect against fraud and detect scam transactions online.
Offline testing. A testing environment based on already completed transactions. Every new rule and transaction can be safely tested in isolation, and if their effectiveness is verified, they can be used in practice. This approach can enhance the overall security if also applied to scenarios that have not yet been implemented, but are potentially possible.
Advanced processing. An extension to the transaction processing capabilities. Generally, antifraud systems verify a transaction against a list of rules, each having its own priority. If a priority rule is triggered, other rules with lower priority are ignored.
With the advanced processing feature, the system will check the transaction against all rules regardless of their priority. This will help the client to get a more accurate view of the transaction and adjust configurations that may cause false positives.
BI.ZONE AntiFraud capabilities also include blocking multiple fraudulent accounts, preventing account compromises, complying with regulatory requirements, simplifying authorization for legitimate users, preventing the use of stolen accounts, and protecting against bot attacks.
