More than 300 organizations from 65 countries participated in Cyber Polygon 2024

This year’s Cyber Polygon technical training was held during the MENA ISC the largest cybersecurity conference in the region

Cyber Polygon is an international capacity building initiative of BI.ZONE aimed at raising global cyber resilience. The participants of this year’s training included organizations from CIS countries, Belgium, Colombia, France, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Switzerland, UK, USA, Vietnam, and others. The organizations came from all sorts of industries, including finance, e‑commerce, education, audit and consulting, healthcare, and government.

The teams participating in Cyber Polygon 2024 investigated an incident, which had occurred at a company that was developing an AI‑powered solution. Presumably, this development was compromised. Around the same time, a competitor announced the release of a very similar product. For 24 hours, the teams studied the company’s infrastructure and searched for signs of compromise to restore normal operation.

Each year, when preparing our technical training, we strive to select the most relevant attack scenarios observed in the threat landscape. The case was designed to be as close as possible to a real‑life situation that cybersecurity specialists may encounter. Participation in Cyber Polygon is a great opportunity for professionals from all over the world to practice hands‑on skills and gain new experience. We are pleased that over 300 organizations from all across the globe joined our practical training this year to strengthen their incident investigation and response skills.

As part of the conference program, several sessions and talks were held in partnership with Cyber Polygon. Among them were the opening plenary session “A Tip of an Iceberg: What to Expect from the AI‑driven Digital Future?” and the panel discussion “Hyper Power in Cybersecurity. How to Resist the Challenges of Turbulent Cyber” with top managers of international and local organizations. In addition, Cyber Polygon presented Threat Zone GCC 2024, an overview of the main trends regarding targeted attacks in the MENA region, and conducted several workshops.
